After hitting a two-run homer over the right-field fence in the third inning, Kim showcased his power once again in the seventh.
He connected on a breaking ball right down the middle, launching a massive 135-meter two-run shot over the left-field wall.
With his 21st and 22nd home runs of the season, Kim returned to a tie for the league lead in home runs. Backed by additional homers from Na Sung-bum and Castro, KIA defeated Kiwoom 9–4 to secure their fourth consecutive victory.
Kiwoom has now fallen into a nine-game losing streak.
