Having wrapped up filming after cranking in last January,

My Dad Is a Zombie

has completed post-production and will be unveiled for the first time in its film festival screening version. This marks its very first meeting with audiences in Bucheon ahead of its official theatrical release.

My Dad Is a Zombie

is a poignant, slice-of-life survival human comedy about a professional zombie extra who lands the role of a lifetime after 20 years in the acting industry—the role of a "dad." To protect his son's innocent worldview, he cannot stop acting like a zombie even after the cameras stop rolling.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year under the slogan "NEW ERA NEW SKIN," BIFAN will take place from July 2 to 12 across Bucheon. Fanta-scape, the section where

My Dad Is a Zombie

has been invited, is a newly established non-competitive category for the 30th anniversary, showcasing works that push the boundaries of genres.

My Dad Is a Zombie

tells the story of a background actor whose role of a lifetime, after 20 years in the business, is none other than being a "dad." As a survival human comedy about a professional zombie extra who must keep up his zombie act even off-camera to protect his son's innocence, the film hilariously yet touchingly portrays the lives of nameless actors hidden behind the glamorous spotlights and the unwavering love of the families who support them.

My Dad Is a Zombie

will meet audiences twice during the festival. For the first screening on Sunday, July 5 at 1:30 PM at CGV Sopoong Theater 5, lead actors Yoo Jae-myung, Oh Dal-su, and Lee Si-eon, along with directors Kwak Kyung-taek and Kang Min-woo, will participate in a stage greeting and a Guest Visit (GV) talk. Child actor Shin Kang-woo, who plays the son in the film, will also join the stage greeting to share the on-screen father-son chemistry live. The second screening will take place on Friday, July 10 at 10:30 AM at CGV Sopoong Theater 4.
