A 70-year-old has died after losing their footing and falling 3 meters while walking near the Gariwangsan Recreational Forest in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province.
According to the Gangwon State Fire Headquarters and other authorities on Thursday (June 25), Kim (78) fell 3 meters from a trail near the Gariwangsan Recreational Forest in Hoedong-ri, Jeongseon-eup, Jeongseon-gun, at 9:41 p.m. the previous day.
Fire and police authorities dispatched to the scene rescued Kim and performed CPR while transporting the victim to a hospital, but Kim passed away during treatment.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident based on reports stating that the victim fell after losing their footing while walking.
