Two HMM vessels have safely cleared the Strait of Hormuz.

HMM announced today (June 24) that the 16,000 TEU container ship Daon and the oil tanker Universal Glory have safely exited the Strait of Hormuz and are currently in operation.

The Daon has cleared the Strait of Hormuz and is heading toward its port of call, Sohar, Oman.

The Universal Glory, carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil, is expected to arrive at Yeosu Port around July 15.

HMM previously had a total of five vessels—two oil tankers, two bulk carriers, and one container ship—stuck in the Strait of Hormuz. With the exception of the Namu, which is currently undergoing repairs in Dubai after being struck, only two bulk carriers remain within the Strait of Hormuz.

The remaining cargo ships, excluding the Namu, have submitted applications to Iranian authorities for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
