A man stands with his arms hanging limp, swaying unsteadily.
He remains frozen in place, his body tilted to one side.
The video, which was uploaded to social media on June 21, shocked citizens and spread rapidly online, as it appeared no different from footage of addicts in the United States wandering around like zombies after using fentanyl.
This is the alleyway where the man was seen staggering.
If you walk a short distance, you can see an elementary school in the background, located less than 50 meters away.
[Nearby Resident: Students frequently pass through here, and there is a bus stop right in front, so people are constantly moving through this area. It looks like it was right here, this spot. The very fact that someone like that was here is terrifying.]
After identifying the location based on the video, police apprehended the man nearby on the morning of June 23.
A police official stated, "He was placed under emergency arrest after a preliminary drug test returned a positive result for methamphetamine."
Police have also launched an investigation into the possibility that the man may have used fentanyl, a synthetic opioid with a potency 50 times that of heroin and 80 times that of morphine.
Since preliminary drug tests cannot detect new types of drugs like fentanyl, police plan to conduct a detailed analysis through the National Forensic Service to determine if he used other substances in addition to methamphetamine.
As the man is denying the drug use itself, it is reported that police plan to request an arrest warrant once the investigation is concluded.
