WOOCHAN, a member of ALLDAY PROJECT, is finally joining SBS's 'Sunim & Sonim'.
In the upcoming episode of SBS's 'Sunim & Sonim', airing on June 9 at 9 p.m., the guests—now finally a complete group with WOOCHAN's arrival—will share their delightful and deep stories.
WOOCHAN planned a surprise event ahead of his first meeting with the guests, but his somewhat clumsy entrance—contrasting with his usual hip image—showcased an unexpected charm from the very start. As soon as Noh Hong-chul saw WOOCHAN, he expressed his excitement, saying, "I've liked you so much for a long time." WOOCHAN warmly replied, "I've been a long-time fan of you, Hong-chul hyung." WOOCHAN then took control of the atmosphere by boldly asking Venerable Pomnyun, "Can we film a Reels video?" He also piqued everyone's curiosity by revealing an unexpected secret behind the 'Sunim & Sonim' flag he had been carrying in his knapsack.
Later, seeing WOOCHAN arrive with a heavy knapsack almost as big as his body, the guests playfully teased him, saying, "We just learned about letting go and emptying ourselves." In response, WOOCHAN surprised everyone by pulling out a special gift he had personally prepared from his bag. Even Venerable Pomnyun, upon receiving the gift, reportedly could not hide his surprise and joy, saying, "I've never received anything like this in my life," drawing immense curiosity about what the gift could be.
WOOCHAN continued to make his presence felt by showering Venerable Pomnyun with bold questions during their one-on-one "instant Q&A" (Jukmun Jukseol) session. When encountering Buddhist terminology for the first time in his life, he showed a burning passion for learning, writing them down on paper and saying, "I want to try incorporating these when writing lyrics." WOOCHAN's serious side, as he discovers an unexpected connection between hip-hop and Buddhism through deep conversations with Venerable Pomnyun, is expected to captivate viewers.
In particular, during the ongoing Q&A, WOOCHAN asked a sharp question: "What do you think about AI?" Venerable Pomnyun replied, "It is useful, but it can have side effects," and shocked everyone on set by opening up about his personal experience of being targeted by AI impersonation. Hearing this, WOOCHAN strongly related, responding, "I tried to catch them too, but it was really hard."
