Lee Yu-jung (27), who has been active as a model and YouTuber since appearing on the TVING reality show 'EXchange 3', has personally addressed the online controversy surrounding her.
Lee recently shared her stance on her social media regarding allegations raised in some online communities and social media platforms.
Previously, posts spread online regarding Lee Yu-jung's photos of her trip to Gangwon Province, with comments such as, "Is she the one who mocked Jamsil?" and "Look where she's hanging out now." The authors of these posts claimed that Lee had mocked the so-called "Jamsil polling station blockade protest."
As the controversy grew, Lee directly refuted the claims that she mocked the protest through a social media post.
She explained, "This is the reason why there are so many chaotic comments on this post," adding, "I liked a post titled 'Me, flustered by the posts on my Close Friends' stories,' and in an instant, I became the target of online terror."
Lee also stated, "The voting rights of South Korean citizens must naturally be guaranteed, and I believe the National Election Commission, which showed poor management in this situation, must be held accountable." She drew a line, adding, "However, I can never agree with actions that distort the essence of the issue, divide the public, and spread false information."
Meanwhile, Lee rose to fame after appearing on the TVING dating reality show 'EXchange 3', which aired in 2023. On the show, she reunited with her ex-boyfriend Choi Chang-jin as a final couple, and they continue to be in a public relationship. She is also active as an entrepreneur, having launched a beauty brand last year.
