As YouTube channel Hover Lab's Kim Se-ui is currently under arrest and investigation on charges including defamation and fabricating audio recordings related to actor Kim Soo-hyun, attorney Lee Ji-hoon, who runs the YouTube channel "Knowing Lawyer" and has publicly criticized Kim, announced that she will make all related videos private.
On June 4, Attorney Lee posted an announcement on her YouTube channel's community tab, stating, "Recently, police investigations revealed that Kim Se-ui fabricated Kim Soo-hyun's KakaoTalk account and voice recordings, leading to his arrest and investigation." She added, "Regardless of their content, the videos I filmed about Kim Soo-hyun based on news articles reporting on Kim Se-ui's fabricated materials could be perceived as defending criminal acts, so I will be taking all of them down."
Previously, around April of last year, when allegations raised by Hover Lab regarding Kim Soo-hyun's relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor first surfaced, Attorney Lee had strongly criticized Kim Soo-hyun's claims through her YouTube channel.
At the time, regarding Kim Soo-hyun's claim during a press conference that he "dated Kim Sae-ron for about a year after she became an adult," she raised doubts, saying, "I don't understand how they started dating for a year as if they were waiting for her to become an adult," and "How could it be that coincidental?"
She also commented on the KakaoTalk analysis results released by Kim Soo-hyun's side, calling them "highly unreliable since they came from a private agency." Immediately after Kim Soo-hyun's press conference, she criticized it as "illogical" and speculated about Kim Soo-hyun, who shed tears, saying, "He has no choice but to be afraid because he is living a fake life."
Furthermore, she faced criticism for excessive language after posting a poll titled "What is the psychology of a 31-year-old man dating a female student who just turned 19?" with options such as "Because he's a pervert," "Because he can't get women his own age," and "Because she's cost-effective."
Attorney Lee runs a YouTube channel with over 520,000 subscribers. Recently, she was also criticized for giving excessive unsolicited advice after producing a series of contents immediately following the marriage announcement of Koyote member Shinji and singer MoonOne, continuing until a few days after their wedding, where she remarked, "Marriage should be done carefully, and divorce should be done quickly."
