Singer Tony An, a member of the group H.O.T., has personally apologized to fans regarding the recent cancellation of his fan meeting in China.
On June 3, Tony An shared several photos on his social media showing the gifts sent by fans, writing, "Thank you so much to the fans who provided me with daily bread in celebration of my upcoming birthday."
He expressed his gratitude for the fans' support, saying, "I shared it deliciously with the 'TV Animal Farm' production team, and we all gained strength to finish filming successfully." He added, "The production crew and cast members also asked me to make sure to convey their gratitude."
In particular, Tony An mentioned his and Kangta's recently canceled fan meeting in China. He stated, "I personally apologize to those who experienced inconvenience due to the fan meeting not long ago," adding, "I will pay closer attention to ensure such an incident does not happen again."
Previously, Tony An and Kangta were scheduled to hold a fan meeting in Chengdu, China, on May 31.
In a video released prior to the event, the two expressed their excitement, saying, "We've heard many people ask, 'Why do you only go to Shanghai? Please come to Chengdu as well,' and now we are finally meeting in Chengdu." They added, "This is the first time the two of us are officially meeting Chinese fans together. Since this is the year of H.O.T.'s 30th debut anniversary, we want to meet you as soon as possible."
However, the fan meeting was abruptly canceled just one day before the event. Although the specific reason for the cancellation was not disclosed, local fans continued to express their disappointment.
Meanwhile, Tony An debuted in 1996 as a member of H.O.T. and received immense love, and he is currently active as a host on SBS's 'TV Animal Farm.'
