Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won-been of "Sold Out on You" have faced the truth of a past that left deep scars in their hearts, raising anticipation for the final episode to an all-time high.
In the 11th episode of the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama "Sold Out on You" (written by Jin Seung-hee, directed by Ahn Jong-yeon), which aired on Wednesday, May 27, Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo Seop) and Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-been), who are overcoming their past traumas together, learned the ugly truth behind the "Good Morning Cream Incident" that had once plunged them into despair.
Driven by this momentum, "Sold Out on You" ranked fourth on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows list (as of May 27), marking its fifth consecutive week in the Top 5. The drama has built a solid fanbase not only in Korea but also among viewers worldwide, continuing its global "sold-out streak."
In the episode, Matthew Lee, who took on the challenge of developing a new cosmetic product thanks to Dam Ye-jin's encouragement, officially handed her a proposal to launch the product on Hit Home Shopping. The heartfelt confession from Matthew Lee, asking her to stay by his side to ensure the product is made well until the end, combined with their playful banter that blurred the lines between professional and personal, finally led to the creation of their first recovery cream, fluttering the hearts of viewers.
However, dark clouds gathered over the live broadcast once again due to a post by a famous influencer claiming side effects, and a crisis ensued as the past "Good Morning Cream Incident" resurfaced.
Amid this, Matthew Lee began to suspect his close senior, Son Chang-ho (played by Chae Dong-hyun), based on a video handed to him by Eric Seo (played by Kim Beom), the former executive director of L'Étoile. After capturing circumstances indicating that Son Chang-ho had lowered raw material costs for profit margins and leaked the company's core technology, Matthew Lee discovered a decisive clue detailing Son Chang-ho's misdeeds at the house of the deceased Choi Woo-soo (played by Seo Hyun-woo). However, Son Chang-ho consistently maintained a shameless attitude even when confronted, sparking anger.
At the same time, Dam Ye-jin also received a shocking confession from her senior show host, Ji Yoon-ji (played by Park A-in). Ji Yoon-ji revealed that she was the one who had accepted bribes in the past to launch the Good Morning Cream and turned a blind eye to the substitution of low-cost ingredients, handing over an audio recording containing the truth. Dam Ye-jin, who had been falsely accused and estranged from her mother due to this misjudgment, showed a complex mix of emotions on her face, adding to the viewers' sorrow.
Having faced the massive pain of their past to achieve a true happy ending, attention is focused on whether Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won-been can overcome the crisis and have the last laugh. The final story of the "Tudam" (Matthew Lee + Dam Ye-jin) couple can be seen in the final episode of "Sold Out on You", airing tonight (May 28) at 9 PM.
