The chaotic group camping variety show featuring "novice camp director" Yu Jae-seok and his unpredictable staff is finally unveiling itself.
Netflix's original variety show 'Jae-seok's B&B Rules!' kicks off in style today, May 26, with the release of Episodes 1–5.
'Jae-seok's B&B Rules!' is a group camping variety show where clumsy "novice camp director" Yu Jae-seok and his unpredictable, goofy staff members Lee Kwang-soo, Byeon Wooseok, and Ji Ye-eun help guests escape their daily routines by chatting, playing, and fooling around together. The show has garnered high expectations since its production phase, as "National MC" Yu Jae-seok—known for his unrivaled leadership and smooth hosting skills—transforms into a clumsy novice camp director to lead a large-scale communal camp.
In Episodes 1–5, released today, viewers will witness the tearful struggles of "Team Yu Jae-seok" as they handle everything from preparing for their very first guests to executing a jam-packed, hardcore 24-hour schedule. Ahead of the arrival of the first group of guests, the staff throws themselves into checking camp facilities and organizing supplies, fully revealing their sincerity and passion for their guests.
In a previously released teaser, the unique chemistry of the four cast members gathered to select the camp menu generated significant buzz. With menus created from their own recipes—such as Yu Jae-seok's sandwiches, Lee Kwang-soo's kimchi stew, Byeon Wooseok's rolled omelet, and Ji Ye-eun's spicy stir-fried pork—they deliver brutal, unfiltered taste reviews even before taking a bite, saying things like "Don't take this personally," "One and a half stars," and "It needs a kick." Their explosive reactions bring fresh laughter.
However, contrary to their overflowing motivation, the camp site is a constant zone of crisis. "Team Yu Jae-seok" experiences collective shock at the unexpected number of guests suddenly arriving, as well as the surprise appearance of a familiar face (?). On top of that, unexpected situations arise continuously: a burning smell erupts from the kitchen during their first attempt at large-scale catering, and staff members begin to complain about the high-intensity schedule that leaves no room to breathe. Viewers are left wondering if they can survive the first day under a packed schedule that includes an entrance ceremony, various missions and games, a campfire, and a talent show.
Producers Jung Hyo-min, Lee So-min, and Hwang Yoon-seo, who directed the show, shared key points to watch: "The main point of fun will be watching the staff, who are running a camp for the first time, scramble through a non-stop schedule and learn by trial and error. Please look forward to seeing how the staff adapts and changes from their clumsy beginnings."
Promising to bring delightful laughter and special joy to those dreaming of escaping their daily lives, 'Jae-seok's B&B Rules!' will release Episodes 1–5 today, Tuesday, May 26, followed by Episodes 6–10 on Tuesday, June 2, streaming over two weeks on Netflix.
