Actors Ahn Jae-hyun and Kang So-ra will make a surprise guest appearance on 'Running Man', delivering explosive laughs to Sunday viewers.
On the upcoming broadcast on May 24, SBS's 'Running Man' will feature a race with Ahn Jae-hyun, who has captured the variety show world with his quirky and clumsy character, and Kang So-ra, who is making a highly anticipated return after about six years.
During her past appearance on 'Running Man', Kang So-ra made a strong impression as 'Straight-forward So-ra', charging ahead without looking back. Now, returning after about six years as a mother of two, she stood before the members once again. Welcomed warmly by the cast, Kang So-ra showed off her unexpectedly bold wit and shook up the filming set by showing her extraordinary competitive streak, declaring, "I came to recharge my dopamine!"
On the other hand, Ahn Jae-hyun, making his very first appearance on 'Running Man', unleashed his signature clumsy charm right from the opening. In contrast to his handsome flower-boy visuals, he fully showed his 'Paper Doll' side as his stamina rapidly drained with each passing mission, drawing bursts of laughter from the members with his charm as a rising variety star.
The race, titled 'Why Is Running Man Like That?', featured a series of brutal choices for the members. They had to gather seed money by choosing between the 'Safe Roulette', which offered low but guaranteed funds, and the 'One-Shot Roulette', where they could get anything from a total bust to a massive jackpot in a single spin.
As soon as the roulettes were revealed, the Running Man members' chronic 'moth-to-a-flame' instinct kicked in. Seeking a fortune overnight, the majority of the members and guests went all-in on the risky 'One-Shot Roulette'. On the other hand, Kim Jong-kook, known for his meticulous nature, remained unshaken by temptation and stuck to his standard strategy by choosing the 'Safe Roulette' alone. However, even the highly capable Kim Jong-kook, who usually boasts a high winning rate, was reportedly blindsided by the trusted 'Safe Roulette' and fell into a state of mental breakdown, raising curiosity about the unexpected twist that unfolded on set.
