Group BTS is set to make history once again as they head to the American Music Awards (AMAs), one of the top three major music award shows in the United States.
According to an announcement by the AMAs on the 20th (local time), BTS will attend the awards ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25. This marks their first in-person appearance at the AMAs in about five years, since 2021. At the time, BTS left a monumental milestone in the global music market by becoming the first Korean artist to win "Artist of the Year."
In particular, BTS has once again proven their global presence by being nominated for the grand prize category, "Artist of the Year," at this year's ceremony. They are set to compete fiercely alongside world-renowned pop stars such as Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and Lady Gaga.
At this year's AMAs, BTS has been nominated in a total of three categories, including "Artist of the Year," "Best Male K-Pop Artist," and "Song of the Summer."
Meanwhile, BTS will hold "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN LAS VEGAS" in Las Vegas, USA, on May 23 – 24 and 27 – 28.
