A desperate struggle to avoid the most brutal "last place" label in the history of 'Kick a Goal' is about to unfold.
In the episode of SBS's 'Kick a Goal' airing tonight (May 20), the highly anticipated second G-League last-place decider will be revealed. In this match, FC Wonder Woman 2026 and FC Gucheok Jangshin, who were the finalists of the first G-League, will face off in an intense, no-retreat battle.
In particular, the "last-place decider," introduced for the first time in the rebooted G-League, features a rule where the losing team will actually have the disgraceful label of "Last Place" printed on their uniforms. To avoid this harsh penalty—a first in 'Kick a Goal' history—both teams are expected to take the field with a do-or-die attitude.
Having suffered a severe slump in performance throughout this season and falling to the bottom of their respective groups, the two teams' head-to-head record stands at 4 wins and 1 loss out of 5 matches, with FC Gucheok Jangshin holding an overwhelming advantage.
However, FC Wonder Woman 2026's counterattack is not to be underestimated. Wonder Woman's manager Kim Byung-ji will actively deploy the newly joined rookie lineup, including sharp "left-footed kicker" Mok Na-kyung and the "tenacious third-time challenger" Hyunjin. In addition, they plan to create a tight game by putting forward the "Siso Combo" attacking option led by So Yumi and "Demon King" Mashima, who is considered a strong candidate for top scorer this season. Viewers' attention is focused on this legendary match where those who once fought for the top spot are now battling to escape the very bottom.
FC Gucheok Jangshin, who had been struggling due to a depleted roster, have finally formed a complete lineup with the return of their "ace" Heo Kyung-hee. Heo Kyung-hee, who missed the last two matches due to injury, shared her extraordinary determination, saying, "Since this is the final match, I want to take responsibility," and even underwent high-intensity training and weight loss to prepare.
With Heo Kyung-hee's return, the Gucheok Jangshin' tactics will become even more solid. Heo Kyung-hee, who made a surprise appearance as a goalkeeper in the first G-League finals and led the team to victory, will guard the goal from the backline once again. In line with the return of the reliable goalkeeper, manager Kim Young-kwang has instructed the field players to utilize a "square formation defense," leveraging the overwhelming physical presence unique to former and current Models, with the strategy of completely blocking Wonder Woman's passing lanes.
On top of that, a special message of support from Model Han Hye-jin, the Gucheok Jangshin' first captain, has boosted the team's morale to an all-time high.
The desperate match between the two teams to escape last place will be revealed on tonight's (May 20) broadcast of 'Kick a Goal' at 10:20 PM.
