Comedian Kim Shin-young has opened up about the story behind ending her 14-year diet and finding true happiness.

Appearing on the YouTube channel 'Rolling Thunder's content 'Shin-woman' on the 19th, Kim shared the decisive moment that led her to stop the diet she had started for health reasons.

Kim explained, "I started losing weight in the past because I had health issues like hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovary syndrome, fatty liver, and hyperlipidemia." However, noting that she has recently gained some weight back, she expressed her satisfaction, saying, "People around me are reacting so positively, I've become less irritable, and I'm just so happy right now."

There was a special anecdote involving the late Jeon Yu-sung that led Kim Shin-young to finally let go of her long-term diet.

Kim recalled, "I was taking care of Jeon Yu-sung, and while he was wearing an oxygen mask, he tapped my hand three times to get my attention and said, 'I really want to eat Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), but I can't. So you should live your life eating. Don't hold back, just eat and live.'"

She continued, "Whenever he offered me bread or chocolate in the past, I always refused by saying, 'I can't.' I think that stayed in his heart," adding, "In that moment, my past flashed before my eyes, and I decided, 'Let's just eat comfortably.'"

She added, "These days, I can't even go out for a walk. People say, 'Why? Are you trying to lose weight? Don't walk,'" which made everyone on set burst into laughter.

During the broadcast, Kim also opened up about the hidden struggles she felt while maintaining a grueling schedule during her peak years. In particular, she shared her feelings of regret regarding the variety show 'Three Wheels', where she felt she couldn't easily approach her senior colleagues like Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun, despite their immense love for her.

Kim shared her honest feelings, saying, "Since I was raised by my grandmother, I think I didn't really know how to approach adults of Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun's age," adding, "Now that I'm over forty, I often think, 'Would I be able to treat my juniors the way those two seniors treated me?'"

In response, Lee Kyung-sil said, "A few years ago, Shin-young called me and said, 'Senior, I'm sorry. I knew you were kind to me, but I was just too young back then,'" and added, "Since then, she even sends us meat from time to time. I felt that Shin-young had finally accepted us into her heart," creating a heartwarming atmosphere.
