Disney+’s biggest hit, ‘Moving’, is officially returning for a second season.
On the morning of the 18th, Disney+ announced that ‘Moving Season 2’, the second installment of the series, has officially begun production. ‘Moving Season 2’ is a human action series that follows superpowered individuals who, after returning to their daily lives following the ‘Jeongwon High School incident’, must once again face new threats to protect their loved ones.
Writer Kang Full, who delivered high-quality storytelling through the perfect blend of genre elements and humanism in ‘Moving’ and ‘Light Shop’, has returned to pen the script for this third series.
Furthermore, director Kim Seong-hun of ‘Kingdom’, which led the globalization of K-series, will take the helm. He is expected to showcase his signature rhythmic direction, sensuous visuals, and immersive storytelling that freely crosses the boundaries between fantasy and reality.
The cast from Season 1, who received immense love, will also be returning, including Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyojoo, Zo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun, Ryu Seung-bum, Go Youn-jung, Kim Do-hoon, Kim Sung-kyun, Shim Dal-gi, Moon Sung-keun, Kim Jong-soo, Park Byung-eun, Kim Shin-rok, Lee Ho-jung, Park Kwang-jae, Kim Gook-hee, Kim Hie-won, Shin Jae-hwi, and Park Han-sol. They will be joined by new cast members Won Gyu-bin, Sol Kyung-gu, Lee Hee-jun, Ryu Hye-young, Roh Yoon-seo, Kim Sung-kyu, Kim Gun-woo, and Choi Yoon-ji.
Notably, ‘Moving Season 2’ will feature rising star Won Gyu-bin, who joins the cast as ‘Kim Bong-seok’, a character beloved by fans in Season 1. Won Gyu-bin made his debut in the 2025 drama ‘Bitch X Rich 2’. Expectations are high for his unique portrayal of ‘Kim Bong-seok’ compared to the previous iteration.
Writer Kang Full, who returns to write the script following Season 1, shared his thoughts on starting production for the second season, stating, “I am grateful to all the actors and staff who have joined us. I hope we can create an even better project.”
Director Kim Seong-hun added, “I believe the existence of Season 2 is thanks to the production team that created the ‘Moving’ Season 1 that viewers loved so much. I will try to experiment with various approaches,” raising anticipation for the further expansion of the ‘Moving’ universe.
Upon its release in 2023, the Disney+ original series ‘Moving’ became the most-watched Korean original series on Hulu in the U.S. during its first week of release. It also ranked as the most-watched series on Disney+ in the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, during its premiere week, enjoying explosive popularity.
