Singer HeeChul has personally shared his thoughts regarding his upcoming break from the JTBC show 'Knowing Bros'.
On the 3rd, HeeChul posted on his social media, "Hey friend, it's not that serious," giving a witty yet sincere response to broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu, who had posted a message on his own social media earlier that day expressing concern for him.
HeeChul began by saying, "I've been getting a lot of worried calls from acquaintances." He explained the reason for his break, stating, "As Kang Ho-dong once said, 'The viewers see us at 6 PM, but for us, it's 4 AM!' I shouldn't show the viewers that I'm exhausted, tired, or zoned out, so I'm taking a moment to refill my energy."
In particular, HeeChul expressed his deep affection for 'Knowing Bros' and his apologies to his colleagues and the production team. He added, "We film every Thursday, and whenever I have overseas schedules, the production team and the cast members are very considerate of me. I can't keep asking for that, and I can't keep showing up inconsistently, so I'm taking a break. I will continue with the bi-weekly program as it allows for scheduling adjustments," clarifying that this is a temporary break, not a departure from the show.
He also did not forget to cheer on Kim Shin-young, who has joined 'Knowing Bros' as a new member. HeeChul encouraged viewers by saying, "With my friend Shin-young joining, I'm able to rest comfortably. Our 'Prince Jumong' Shin-young. Please look forward to the even richer 'Knowing Bros'."
Previously, the 'Knowing Bros' team announced that HeeChul would be taking a temporary break starting from the episode airing on the 9th due to health reasons. As HeeChul has been a fixed member of 'Knowing Bros' for over 10 years since its first broadcast in 2015 and has built a unique character, fans are expressing both sadness over his absence and support for his healthy return.
