Actress Kim Go-eun has continued her tradition of giving by donating 50 million won in celebration of Children's Day.
According to her agency, BH Entertainment, Kim Go-eun donated 50 million won to the Seoul National University Children's Hospital to support medical treatment for children from low-income families. The donation will be used to assist pediatric and adolescent patients who are facing financial difficulties in receiving necessary care.
Kim Go-eun has been making donations to the same hospital every Children's Day since 2021. Her consistent support has provided practical help to young patients in need, making her contributions even more meaningful.
Following a 50 million won donation to the Seoul National University Children's Hospital on Children's Day in 2022, she also gifted an additional 100 million won in October of that same year to commemorate the 10th anniversary of her debut. That donation was also used to support medical treatment for children from low-income families.
She has also been involved in various other social contribution activities. In 2020, she donated masks worth 100 million won to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and contributed 50 million won for recovery efforts following wildfires in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk. It is reported that Kim Go-eun has accumulated over 500 million won in total donations through her consistent philanthropic work since her debut.
"I was deeply moved to hear that my donations were used meaningfully for the treatment of children who needed a helping hand," Kim Go-eun said. "I will continue to strive to become an actress who can give back the love I have received."
Meanwhile, Kim Go-eun is currently greeting viewers through Tving's 'Yumi's Cells' Season 3 and is focused on filming her next project, 'Hon'.
