BLACKPINK member and actress JISOO has won the Rising Star Award at the 9th Cannes International Series Festival.
JISOO received the "Madame Figaro Rising Star Award" at the opening ceremony of the Cannes International Series Festival held in Cannes, France, on April 23 (local time). This award is presented to talented newcomers.
On this day, JISOO took the stage wearing a pink tube-top dress and delivered her acceptance speech in French, saying, "Merci beaucoup (Thank you)."
The organizers introduced her on their website, stating, "JISOO is focusing on expanding her filmography through works of various genres and formats while balancing her music and acting careers."
They further mentioned her recent appearance in the Netflix original series "Boyfriend on Demand" and explained the reason for her selection, stating, "She is a promising figure who is attracting attention not only in Korea but also in the global entertainment industry for her international influence, presence, and artistic growth."
