Actor Kim Nam-gil has successfully wrapped up his fan meetings in Japan.

Kim Nam-gil met with fans on April 18 and 19 in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively, for his 2026 fan meeting 'G.I.L,' which saw all seats sold out. Much like the domestic event that garnered attention as a "marathon fan meeting," he presented a rich stage in Japan filled with diverse segments and witty conversation. Although the events had to conclude early due to Shinkansen schedules and venue operating hours, he created meaningful memories with the audience over two days, totaling approximately 540 minutes of performance.

Opening the stage with Radiohead’s "Creep" in Osaka and DAY6’s "Time of Our Life" in Tokyo, Kim Nam-gil signaled the start of the fan meeting by following up with a band-accompanied performance of Yonezu Kenshi’s "Lemon." He greeted fans he hadn't seen in a year with a bright smile, and the audience responded with cheers, heating up the atmosphere of the venue.

Following this, Kim Nam-gil spent an enjoyable time communicating with fans through various segments, ranging from 'G.I.L. RE. SHOOT - Filmography Talk,' where he looked back at his filmography and discussed characters based on keywords, to 'G.I.L To. You - Post-it Q&A,' where he answered questions written by fans before the show and gifted songs to those who submitted them.

In particular, Kim Nam-gil performed the Japanese version of his single "Running to You," released last month, for the first time at this fan meeting, receiving enthusiastic applause from local fans. During the mini-showcase for the new song, he heightened the atmosphere to its peak by holding a photo time and sharing stories about the song's introduction and music video production.

Furthermore, Kim Nam-gil showed his boundless love for his fans with an incredible event during the encore performance of "Can't I Love You" (literal translation), where he walked into the seating area to make eye contact with the audience and navigated every corner of the venue. The fans prepared a slogan event during the group photo time, creating unforgettable moments for one another.

Kim Nam-gil expressed his sincerity, saying, "Thank you for always welcoming and supporting me. It is joyful and happy to be with you every year, and I always cherish the time we can meet like this. Just as you are a great comfort and strength to me, I will strive to be that kind of person for you as well. Let’s do our best in our respective places until the day we meet again. Thank you once again for coming, and let’s be together again next time. I love you."

Having finished his fan meetings in Seoul and Japan, Kim Nam-gil will meet audiences as Prince Suyang in the film 'Canvas of Blood,' scheduled for release this year, and has also confirmed his appearance in the new SBS drama 'Nightmare' (literal translation).
