aespa’s KARINA is aiming for her driver’s license with her grandmother in mind.
In a video posted on the aespa YouTube channel on April 14, KARINA opened up about why she decided to get licensed.
“I live with my grandma. While reading a book, I suddenly thought, before she gets any older, I want to put her in the passenger seat and take her on a drive. So the next day I told my manager, ‘I’m getting my license,’” she said.
She added, “I haven’t decided where we’ll go yet, but I want to start somewhere close. If my grandma has plans with her friends, I want to drive her there,” sharing her warm intentions.
KARINA also showed her study process for the written test. She squeezed in practice tests whenever she could to hit the passing score of 60 or higher. She passed with an 85 and couldn’t hide her excitement.
“Now it’s just the road test left. I’m pretty athletic, so I want to pass on the first try,” she said. At the end of the video, she encouraged herself with, “Ji-min, you worked hard. See you at the next test,” drawing smiles.
