AB6IX will temporarily pause group activities as their exclusive contract approaches its May expiration.
Brand New Music said on the 10th, “AB6IX’s exclusive contract, which began with their debut on May 22, 2019, will end on May 25,” adding, “After thorough discussions with the members, the 2026 AB6IX concert ‘6IX TO SEVEN,’ held on May 23 and 24, will be their final group schedule before a short break.”
The agency emphasized that “in-depth discussions about potential contract renewals are ongoing,” signaling that disbandment is not on the table and future activities remain possible. They added, “We fully respect and support the members’ choices as they stand at a new starting point.”
AB6IX is the first idol group launched by Brand New Music, formed by combining the project unit MXM with members who had been part of Wanna One. Since debut, they have continued steady activities while building a distinct musical identity through self-producing.
The agency said it will support all scheduled activities and the concerts through May, and asked for fans’ continued support for the four members: Jeon Woong, Kim Dong Hyun, Park Woo Jin, and Lee Dae Hwi.
