Actor Ha Jung-woo is making his debut as a commercial director.
On April 1, Hana Bank posted on its official social media: “This is epic. Kang Ho-dong, G-DRAGON, Lim Young-woong, Son Heung-min, ANYUJIN ― a blockbuster COMING SOON,” alongside a teaser image. The poster brings together Lim Young-woong, Son Heung-min, G-DRAGON, Kang Ho-dong, ANYUJIN, and Ha Jung-woo.
According to Workhouse Company, Ha Jung-woo recently directed an ad for Hana Financial Group. The spot features the brand’s current models: Kang Ho-dong, G-DRAGON, Lim Young-woong, Son Heung-min, and ANYUJIN.
The ad was filmed on an airplane set. ANYUJIN and Kang Ho-dong appear as cabin crew, while Lim Young-woong, G-DRAGON, and Son Heung-min show up as passengers. The concept is said to be inspired by Ha’s first directorial feature, “Fasten Your Seatbelt.”
The official account added, “We’re finally revealing the real thing. Hana Pictures’ first film, ‘Hana Universe,’ premieres April 10 on Hana Financial Group’s YouTube.” Ha Jung-woo also regrammed the post on his own social media, teasing the release.
Ha Jung-woo, an actor-director, debuted with “Fasten Your Seatbelt” and has since directed four feature films, including “Chronicle of a Blood Merchant,” “Lobby,” and “The People Upstairs.” In 2013, he modeled for and directed a commercial for a cable channel, but this marks his first full-on commercial direction.
He is currently meeting viewers through the drama “Mad Concrete Dreams,” and will soon begin filming his new project “Ordinary People.”
