Red Velvet’s IRENE dropped fresh behind-the-scenes stories from her first full-length album and shared how she’s been doing.
IRENE guested on SBS POWER FM (107.7 MHz) WENDY’s "Young Street," which aired Monday, March 30.
Making her comeback with her first studio album, "Biggest Fan", about a year and four months after her last release, IRENE said, “I started searching for songs with the A&R team last May, and the moment I heard this one, I knew it had to be the title track.” She added that if you stand in front of a mirror and shout the lyrics to yourself, it’s a song that can boost your confidence―teasing the empowering vibe of the track.
When a listener asked what IRENE is the "Biggest Fan" of these days, she replied, “I look up travel videos before I sleep. I used to love watching beekeeping videos, but lately it’s shifted a bit,” revealing her delightfully offbeat viewing habits.
Addressing the image that she might be out of touch with trends, she said, “Thanks to the recent SMTOWN concert, I spent a lot of time with members and juniors, so I’ve gotten to know the latest trends and challenges pretty well.” She added with a laugh, “But I heard ‘Harullala’ for the first time today, and I still haven’t tried butter tteok yet.”
WENDY’s "Young Street" airs daily from 8 to 10 p.m. on SBS POWER FM 107.7 MHz and is also available as a viewable radio show on the official YouTube channel.
