On the March 30 episode of SBS’s "uh, but like, seriously!", former JYP trainee SOMI opened up about the company’s trainee education program.
She surprised everyone by saying there were around 67 classes trainees could take at JYP.
SOMI added, “We even had character education, table manners, sex education, and hacking prevention classes.” When asked which class made the least sense to her, she didn’t hesitate.
“It was sex education,” she said. “I’d already learned properly from my parents. They explained things well. At JYP, it felt like they left out the important parts. It was vague, like a generic school ethics class, and that wasn’t satisfying.”
Tak Jae-hoon asked, “What’s the most important part of sex ed?” SOMI laughed it off, replying, “Why are you asking me that?”
KAI added his own experience: “SM also teaches table manners and speaking skills, plus textbook-based classes. If your debut isn’t set, you might have to go back to school, so they even help manage academics if you’re struggling.”
