Directors Lee Byung-hun and Yoon Jong-bin, plus singer Young Tak, are throwing their support behind Lee Dong-hwi’s film ‘Method Acting.’
‘Method Acting’ follows a “funny actor” who rose on comedy but is over it. Determined to earn respect with a sincere performance, he dives too deep into a role―and chaos ensues. It’s a passion project led by star and producer Lee Dong-hwi.
In April, all three will join support GV events (audience Q&As) for ‘Method Acting.’ On Wednesday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Lotte Cinema World Tower, director Lee Byung-hun―who showed flawless chemistry with Lee Dong-hwi in the 10-million-viewer hit ‘Extreme Job’―will personally moderate a talk with the film’s key players. After watching the over-immersion meta-comedy, he’ll share candid impressions and questions, then lead an unfiltered chat with Lee Dong-hwi, Kang Chan-hee, and director Lee Gi-hyeok.
On Saturday, April 4, at 6:50 p.m. at Megabox COEX, director Yoon Jong-bin―who greatly inspired Lee Gi-hyeok’s feature debut―will attend. Joining as moderator is director Hyeong Seul-woo, who connected with Lee Dong-hwi through the film ‘Someone You Loved.’ Yoon Jong-bin is expected to ask Lee Dong-hwi, Kang Chan-hee, and Lee Gi-hyeok about production details and behind-the-scenes stories, sparking a wide-ranging conversation about the film.
Finally, on Tuesday, April 7, at 5 p.m. at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall, singer Young Tak―a longtime friend of Lee Dong-hwi―will light up the GV. He’ll share his own interpretation of the movie and, together with Lee Dong-hwi and Lee Gi-hyeok, keep a relaxed, fan-friendly talk going with audiences.
