‘Whenever Possible’ is bringing back Yoo Jae-suk as the “Legendary Ttakji King.”
On the March 24 episode of the SBS variety show ‘Whenever Possible,’ hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with actors Yoo Jun-sang and Kim Geon-woo in Changsin-dong for a dopamine-charged challenge. All eyes are on Yoo Jae-suk as he steps in as the ultimate ttakji master.
Their mission of the day: ttakji, the classic paper tile-flipping game. Yoo Yeon-seok declares, “Jae-suk hyung is the ttakji king,” showing absolute faith. Yoo Jae-suk then switches into top-tier coach mode, launching a laser-focused crash course to win a gift for the “gap owner.”
“Always hit the center,” “Each tile has a front and back,” Yoo Jae-suk advises, dropping can’t-miss tips only a true ttakji king would know. Every demo he gives flips tiles with ease, drawing gasps. When the trio follows his cue and chants “Center!” together, tiles flip like magic, stunning everyone on set.
Fueled by his coaching, Yoo Yeon-seok, Yoo Jun-sang, and Kim Geon-woo deliver nail-biting plays. Gone are the shaky deep breaths before each turn―now it’s clutch move after clutch move. One player even nails multiple wins in a row using Yoo Jae-suk’s exact technique, sending the tension through the roof.
Yoo Jun-sang practices nonstop like he’s ready to flip every tile in the world, prompting Yoo Jae-suk to crack, “Jun-sang hyung, keep this up and you’ll be bedridden for days!” turning the set into a laugh fest.
Will “Ttakji King” Yoo Jae-suk and his squad―Yoo Yeon-seok, Yoo Jun-sang, and Kim Geon-woo―pull off a ttakji miracle? ‘Whenever Possible’ airs Tuesday, March 24 at 9 p.m. on SBS.
