Yoo Yeon-seok’s idol-level dance in "Phantom Lawyer" is finally going public.
At the March 11 press conference for SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama "Phantom Lawyer" (written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Chul-gyu; directed by Shin Joong-hoon), Yoo surprised everyone with an impromptu idol pose, instantly lighting up the room. With the show teasing a parade of wild “possessed” alter-egos, he picked “idol trainee possession” as the most memorable moment―and gave a sneak-peek pose to match.
Photos from the event spread across community forums and social media, with fans saying they “can’t wait to see it on video.” Now, with a preview confirming “in Episode 3, possessed attorney Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok) dances like an idol,” new stills from the scene are turning the hype dial up again.
The song? IVE’s "LOVE DIVE". In a place as serious as a law office, Shin I-rang nails the crisp hand moves and soulful gaze, pulling off the choreography flawlessly. Thanks to his signature rosy-cheeked “possession” look―like he’s wearing the cutest blush―he’s a dead ringer for a trainee. It also proves that his press-conference pose was a wink at this in-episode possession, raising expectations even higher.
Episode 2 ended with a shock: while dreaming of a normal lawyer life and lining the office with traditional warding items like red beans and garlic, Shin I-rang suddenly faced a mysterious high-school girl ghost (Oh Ye-ju). Now, he has to help her recover memories―even how she died. Then a song plays by chance, and his body reacts first. Through idol choreography that the body remembers before the mind, Shin I-rang begins tracing the ghost’s dream from when she was alive―and the clues behind her unfair death.
Also grabbing attention: the reaction from his brother-in-law Yoon Bong-su (Jeon Seok-ho). Watching his brother-in-law break into a girl group dance in the middle of the office, Yoon’s expression screams total meltdown. The darting eyes and denial are set to deliver big laughs―and spark curiosity about the tough “brother-in-law care” ahead.
The production team teased, “After a gangster-lawyer possession, Yoo Yeon-seok now turns into a ‘stage-crushing lawyer.’ It’s an unmissable highlight of the broadcast,” adding, “Amid the comedy, please watch Shin I-rang’s heartfelt, moving struggle to uncover the truth behind the trainee’s death.”
Episode 3 of "Phantom Lawyer" airs today (Friday, March 20) at 9:50 p.m.
