The 10-million-viewer film ‘The King's Warden’ has climbed to No. 6 on the all-time box office chart, overtaking ‘Frozen 2.’
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated admissions tracker on the 19th, ‘The King's Warden’ drew 124,110 moviegoers on the 18th, holding onto the No. 1 daily spot. Its cumulative admissions now stand at 13,846,269.
With this, ‘The King's Warden’ surpasses ‘Frozen 2’ (13.74 million) to rank sixth all time. The current top five are: No. 1 ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’ (17.61 million), No. 2 ‘Extreme Job’ (16.26 million), No. 3 ‘Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds’ (14.41 million), No. 4 ‘Ode to My Father’ (14.25 million), and No. 5 ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (13.93 million). At this pace, it looks likely to pass ‘Avengers: Endgame’ today.
Even after ceding the No. 1 spot in advance ticketing to ‘Project Hail Mary,’ which opened on the 18th, the film is still No. 1 at the box office. It’s also aiming to crack the 14 million mark this week.
