Actors Moon Ji-in and comedian-actor Kim Ki-ri are becoming parents.
On the 17th, Moon shared on her social media, “It feels like we just announced our marriage, but we’re already in our third year―and now we’re becoming Mom and Dad. So we’re no longer two, but three,” revealing her pregnancy.
The couple wed in May 2024. They opened up about their wedding prep and newlywed life on the SBS variety show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," drawing major attention. One especially heartwarming moment featured Moon’s younger brother, who has a developmental disability, serving as a flower boy.
Not long after their marriage, the two experienced a miscarriage. They continued trying through IVF and other efforts, but it wasn’t easy. Then, after briefly letting go and taking a breath, they naturally conceived.
Moon shared that the baby’s nickname is “Saengmyeong” (meaning “Life”). “That difficult process now feels like a precious journey to meet Saengmyeong again,” she wrote. “Maybe it would’ve been less painful without those times, but I don’t think we could have met with such a deep and tender longing.”
Active in recent projects and variety appearances, Moon is now facing another turning point with this pregnancy. She’s preparing for a new chapter―as an actor and as a mom to be.
