"Finding Genius" is back after seven years―and it just dropped its first teaser.

SBS’s "Finding Genius: Infinity" is a generation-expanding project that discovers gifted kids across Korea and follows how their talents evolve over time. The show premieres Thursday, April 2 at 9 p.m.

The revamped "Finding Genius: Infinity" connects past and present. It tracks the growth of prodigies who once appeared on "Finding Genius" while introducing a “second generation” of talents. Leveraging years of production experience, the team selected six powerhouse fields and will pair a “past prodigy” with a “next-gen prodigy” for 1:1 matchups. Their meetings won’t be about competition, but about conversation and collaboration―showcasing how talent takes shape and grows.

In the studio, the MC lineup features beloved actor Cha Tae-hyun; MIMI of OH MY GIRL, who brings bright, open energy; and Mimiminu, a leading Korean admissions-expert YouTuber.

On the 16th, the "Finding Genius: Infinity" team unveiled a teaser spotlighting the dramatic growth of prodigies who once went viral―and confirming their return to the show.

Starting with “math prodigy” Baek Kang-hyeon, the clip revisits “violin whiz” Go So-hyeon and young ballerino Jeon Min-cheol, who dreamed of Billy Elliot. A caption echoes the program’s signature question: “Are geniuses born, or made?” It lands with weight. Then we see Jeon Min-cheol―featured in 2017 as a “ballet prodigy”―now performing as a ballerino with dazzling presence. Next, “robotics prodigy” Kang Jun-gyu, who appeared in 2018, is shown on the grounds of the University of Oxford. The onscreen text drives it home: “The kids answered with time shaped by talent and effort.”

We also catch up with Baek Kang-hyeon, introduced in 2016 as a “math-and-composition prodigy”; Jeon Yi-su, who appeared in 2017 as an “art prodigy”; and Kim Yo-han, spotlighted in 2015 as a “piano prodigy.” As their present-day lives unfold, another caption seals the show’s comeback: “The questions that paused now begin again.”

Executive producer Lee So-jung said, “Viewers will vividly see―through the studio and VCR segments―how the prodigies who drew so much attention on Finding Genius are living now and where their ongoing dreams are taking them. By bringing past prodigies and today’s prodigies together one-on-one to reflect each other’s talents, we aim to deliver a message about education that goes beyond simple entertainment.”

"Finding Genius: Infinity" premieres Thursday, April 2 at 9 p.m.
