'The King's Warden' Overtakes 'Exhuma,' Surpasses 12 Million Admissions to Enter All-Time Top 20

The film "The King's Warden" has crossed 12 million admissions nationwide.

According to distributor Showbox on the 11th, "The King's Warden" surpassed a cumulative 12 million admissions this afternoon. With that, it edged out "Exhuma" (11,914,869 admissions) to rank No. 20 on the all-time box office chart.

"The King's Warden" hit 10 million admissions on the 31st day of release (on the 6th), then passed 11 million on the 8th. It reached 12 million in 36 days. Even in its sixth week, it’s pulling in close to 200,000 moviegoers per day, signaling a likely climb past 13 million.

Set in 1457 in Cheongnyeongpo, the film follows a village head who volunteers for exile to revive his community and a young former king banished from the throne. It is directed by Jang Hang-jun and stars Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, and Jeon Mi-do.
