MC Yoo Yeon-seok of SBS’ "Whenever Possible" is celebrating “Yeonsik’s Day.”
The SBS variety show "Whenever Possible" turns tiny breaks in everyday life into lucky moments. The March 3 episode hit a peak rating of 6.6% and 1.5% among 20-49 viewers, ranking No. 1 in its time slot―and No. 1 across all dramas and variety shows that day in the Seoul capital region (Nielsen Korea).
On the March 10 (Tuesday) broadcast, co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok team up with actors Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho in Gunja-dong for a loud-and-proud dose of healing dopamine.
Yoo Yeon-seok is extra hyped to welcome his "Phantom Lawyer" castmates Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho. “I feel so reassured today,” he says with a constant grin, setting off Yoo Jae-suk’s laughter.
There’s a reason his energy is sky-high: the day’s location is Gunja-dong, home to his alma mater, Sejong University. He keeps summoning college memories everywhere they go and even tries to steer every chat back to campus life, which earns playful groans from the older members. Yoo Jae-suk joins the bit―“It’s Yeonsik’s Day today”―and even calls him “Sejong University Hyung,” turning the set into a laugh fest.
Meanwhile, Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho spill on Yoo Yeon-seok’s "Whenever Possible" dopamine habit. “He even makes bets with the show’s games on our drama set,” Esom reveals, proving his nonstop love for "Whenever Possible". The show’s thrill has apparently seeped into his daily routine. “Even after an all-night shoot, coming here gives me a dopamine rush,” Yoo Yeon-seok says, eyes lighting up again. Catching that, Jeon Seok-ho grabs him and jokes, “Yeon-seok, you need treatment for dopamine addiction,” sending everyone into stitches.
Will Yoo Yeon-seok deliver more dramatic moments around his old stomping grounds on “Yeonsik’s Day”? See how the dopamine-fueled team play of Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho unfolds when "Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday, March 10, at 9 p.m.
