Singer Jung Dong-won, who has enlisted in the Marine Corps, unveiled another gift prepared for fans.
On March 4, a video for “Letter of a Private” was released via Jung Dong-won’s official YouTube channel. Dropped after his enlistment, the clip carries a heartfelt message to fans and leaves a deep impression.
The video opens with Jung reading a fan’s letter during his fan concert held on February 13. It then moves through backstage moments and the preparation process. His remake track of “Letter of a Private,” released on February 5, plays in the background and sets the mood. As the video heads into the latter half, highlight moments from the fan concert roll by, bringing back the emotions of that night.
In particular, the scene of Jung writing a letter is intercut with the lyric “Folding a letter gently and sending it,” turning the video into what feels like another letter to fans.
It closes with Jung offering a deep traditional bow to thank fans. It’s a short goodbye, but the sincerity of “see you soon” comes through clearly.
Meanwhile, Jung Dong-won entered the Marine Corps training center on February 23. After completing basic training, he is set to serve for 18 months.
