JISOO of BLACKPINK unveiled a new pictorial and interview as an ambassador for a global luxury jewelry brand.

In Esquire’s premium special issue, JISOO opened up about returning on Feb. 27 with the mini album "DEADLINE."

She added, “Personally, I could describe this album with the keyword ‘growth.’”

Even when her schedule is packed, JISOO says music helps her organize her thoughts. “When I’m writing lyrics or humming, if a good melody or line comes to me, I jot it down right away. As an artist, I don’t really set any grand goals. I don’t want to rush what I’m doing now―I’d rather continue at my own steady pace.”

Beyond music, JISOO is also steadily pursuing acting. She stars as Seo Mi-rae in the Netflix series "Boyfriend on Demand," out March 6.

“There’s a fantasy setup with a virtual dating simulation,” JISOO shared, “but the emotions and relationships feel very real. Considering how fast technology is advancing these days, the world of didn’t feel completely unrealistic to me, which made it even more interesting.”

JISOO’s interview and pictorial are available in Esquire’s The Big Black Book and on its website.
