Nam Chang-hee's Wife Revealed as Former Actress Turned Dongdaemun District Announcer

Reports say TV personality Nam Chang-hee (44) married former actress Yoon Young-kyung (35). She once went viral on the variety show "Infinite Challenge" as the “Han River IU.”

According to MyDaily on the 23rd, Yoon Young-kyung now works in public relations at the Dongdaemun-gu Office in Seoul and appears on its YouTube channel “Dongdaemun-gu Office The Original.” Nam’s bride was previously known only as a non-celebrity nine years his junior, but has now been identified as a former actress who serves as a local announcer, drawing fresh attention.

Yoon Young-kyung graduated from Dongduk Women’s University’s Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment and was named first runner-up at Miss Chunhyang in 2013. She debuted via the film "Ode to My Father" and appeared in many projects after. In 2014, she made a splash on "Infinite Challenge"s “Hongcheol, Let's Get Married” special, earning the nickname “Han River IU.”

Nam Chang-hee and Yoon Young-kyung held their wedding on the 22nd at The Shilla Seoul’s Dynasty Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul. The couple went public with their relationship in July 2024 and tied the knot about a year and seven months later. Cho Sae-ho and Yoon Jung-soo hosted the ceremony, with congratulatory songs by Lee Juck and Young Tak. Yang Se-hyung and Yoo Byung-jae delivered congratulatory messages.

On the Feb. 23 broadcast of “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show,” Park shared his take on the wedding. “I stayed until the end and had a meal,” he said, adding, “Everyone was shocked by how beautiful the bride is.” He continued, “Young Tak and Lee Juck sang, and it was moving enough to make you tear up. It was such a happy, beautiful wedding.”
