Cool’s Lee Jae-hoon is making his first variety show appearance in seven years on "My Little Old Boy".
The February 22 episode of SBS’s "My Little Old Boy" spotlights two ’90s icons―Cool’s Lee Jae-hoon and Country Kko Kko’s Tak Jae-hoon―as they share a special slice of life together in Jeju Island.
Recently, Lee surprised his 31-year best friend Tak by popping up at his home in Jeju. It’s Lee’s first variety outing in seven years, and the show’s “Mom Avengers” panel couldn’t hide their excitement, greeting him with, “It’s been so long!” The longtime friends dove straight into playful bickering and effortless chemistry, instantly amping up the vibe on set.
Lee also turned heads by prepping a special smoked barbecue for Tak. True to his “passion king” reputation, he brought along pro-level barbecue gear you don’t often see at home. Watching on, MC Shin Dong-yup raised expectations, saying, “Among singers, Lee Jae-hoon and Sung Si-kyung are in a league of their own when it comes to cooking.” But when Lee warned, “If you want to do it right, it takes 10 hours,” the “Tak-zzang-i” Tak Jae-hoon―ever the opposite temperament―grew impatient and quipped, “I’m just going to order delivery,” sparking laughter in the studio. All eyes are on whether their smoked barbecue can actually make it to the table amid all the banter.
Lee then led Tak to a special spot in Jeju where they could ride a natural snow sled. The fun didn’t last long before Lee, ever serious about filming, whipped out an action cam to capture the ultimate “life shot,” cranking his passion to max. Overwhelmed by Lee’s intensity, Tak finally blew up―only for the duo, with a combined age of 110, to unleash unexpected, next-level physical comedy that had the studio in stitches.
The two also belted out their signature hits together, serving pure ’90s nostalgia, and took on the “AI dance follow-along” trend popular with the MZ generation. As their flashy moves took over, the Mom Avengers roared, “You two really know how to have fun!” MC Shin Dong-yup then revealed that Lee Jae-hoon, Tak Jae-hoon, and Seo Jang-hoon were once dubbed the “Dance Machine Hoon Trio,” and rolled a hidden dance clip of Seo―sending the studio into chaos all over again.
