Lee Je-hoon, a Drama Awards Grand Prize winner, is teaming up with rising star Ha-young for SBS’s new series "We’ve Got a Shot" (literal title).
"We’ve Got a Shot" (written by Jung Jin-young and Kim Ui-chan, directed by Kwon Da-som) is a bubbly, comic legal-detective drama. It follows a ragtag law office led by former lawyer and current office manager Kwon Baek (played by Lee Je-hoon) as they turn “no-win” cases into winnable ones with never-before-seen tactics.
Slated to air next year, the series reunites director Kwon Da-som―who co-helmed "Connection" and "My Demon"―with writers Jung Jin-young and Kim Ui-chan, known for penning legendary Korean sitcoms like "Soon Poong Clinic," "Why Can't We Stop Them," and "Three Guys and Three Girls." Expectations are high for another standout collaboration.
Leading the cast are Lee Je-hoon and Ha-young, turning the buzz up even more. After clinching his second Drama Awards Grand Prize last year with "Taxi Driver 3," Lee dominated 2025 as a trusted, must-watch star. Ha-young, who broke out with the drama "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call," has risen to global attention. Their pairing promises powerful synergy.
Lee Je-hoon will play Kwon Baek, a once-famous attorney now working as the office manager at Seungsan Law Office―marking his first-ever legal role since debut. After a bribery scandal cost him his license, Kwon Baek vanished, only to make a flashy return as the manager of a scrappy, bare-bones firm he assembled himself. Having tasted both boom and bust, he’s cool-headed and bold―setting traps to expose the truth, staging audacious shows, and stirring up trouble as a quirky manager who’s even sharper (and more entertaining) than he was in his lawyer days.
Ha-young takes on the role of Yeo Sim-hee, a rookie lawyer with no money or connections―but unmatched diligence. Unaware that her one-and-only role model Kwon Baek fell from grace in a bribery scandal, she accepts his offer and becomes the lead attorney at Seungsan Law Office. Disappointed at first by her broken idol, she soon realizes the “idle” oddball manager is actually thinking several moves ahead. Her heart races as she watches him work, and under his guidance, she grows into a confident, capable lawyer.
Backed by standout acting, Lee Je-hoon and Ha-young plan to deliver not only compelling character play but also rich chemistry. Expect lively bickering between a manager and his attorney, a bond that deepens from mentor-mentee to something beyond partners as they tend to each other’s scars. Their pairing is already being hailed as a “winning combo” for "We’ve Got a Shot".
