The nine-member multinational boy group ZEROBASEONE, formed through Mnet’s audition program "Boys Planet", will continue activities as a reconfigured five-member team after the project wraps.
On the 12th, WAKEONE thanked the fandom for its support and said, “Building on those precious records, ZEROBASEONE is ready to open a new chapter,” adding, “Members Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook have decided―on the basis of deep trust―to begin a new season together as ZEROBASEONE.”
Previously, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook announced plans to move to WAKEONE and continue activities. After discussions with their agencies, Sung Hanbin and Kim Jiwoong will join the five-member lineup and promote as part of ZEROBASEONE.
WAKEONE emphasized, “We will provide full support to ensure the five-member system settles in smoothly, while staying closely connected so every member can grow together as true partners.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the members will prepare for new steps as the project term ends.
WAKEONE added, “Please continue to cheer on the members who are embarking on new paths. The musical legacy the nine members built under the name ZEROBASEONE will not be confined to a single point in time―it will keep expanding in diverse ways and possibilities. While the form of activities may change, the values and identity we’ve shared will remain.”
To that end, the 2026 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR [HERE & NOW] ENCORE will feature all nine members on stage together.
Separately, the group’s activity contract was set for two years and six months, but after discussions, the end date was extended by two months to March 16.
