Rapper Lee Young Ji, who went viral for playing a “Cops and Robbers” children's game with fans, has donated all profits from the project to a meaningful cause.

The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (KCLF) announced that on February 3, Young Ji donated a total of 100 million won raised through the interactive fan content.

The idea began with a simple pitch: blend the fast-rising play-and-game trend with fan participation to create content everyone could enjoy―and give back in the process.

The first project, “Cops and Robbers,” recruited participants via social media and drew massive interest, with around 100,000 people applying. Behind-the-scenes collaboration with production company Egg Is Coming was also revealed during the making-of, adding extra buzz.

With this donation, Lee Young Ji’s cumulative giving for children with cancer has reached 140 million won. She has been inducted as a Noble member of KCLF’s Honors Club.

The entire 100 million won will go toward medical treatment and scholarships for children battling cancer. A previous 40 million won donation―sourced from limited-edition merch sales from “Nothing Much Prepared Season 3” and her personal contribution―funded “Hope Boxes,” early-diagnosis inpatient support kits for 300 pediatric patients, and covered hematopoietic stem cell transplant costs for one child.

“I started this content for fun,” Lee Young Ji shared, “but if it can help protect children’s time, that alone makes it meaningful.”
