SBS dating show ‘Match to Marry’ is heading into its long-awaited final choices.

The show gathers 10 single men and women who want to get married and 10 moms who want to see their kids tie the knot. They all live together for six days and five nights, while moms watch their children’s dating in real time. Seo Jang-hoon, Lee Yo-won, and Kim Yo-han host as the three MCs, boosting immersion with sharp analysis, relatable reactions, and lively back-and-forth chemistry.

In the finale airing on the 5th, a special ‘Match to Marry’ rule drops right as the final picks begin―and it stuns the three MCs. Even if a couple chooses each other, they only become a final couple if Mom says yes. With the pressure doubled, Lee Yo-won gasps, “Oh my, really?” then worries, “It’s going to be really hard to become a couple.”

Right before the final choices, the moms add even more tension by each selecting one person―other than their own child―for a last honest conversation. “It’s the final interview,” Lee Yo-won says, admitting she’s the one getting nervous. All eyes turn when Seo Han-gyeol’s mother calls in Jo Eun-na-rae. Previously, she voiced concern over their seven-year age gap. She tells Jo Eun-na-rae directly, “I’m worried about the age difference,” dialing up the suspense. Seo Jang-hoon frets, “I think Seo Han-gyeol’s mom might oppose in the final choice,” raising the question: can Jo Eun-na-rae and Seo Han-gyeol overcome real-world hurdles and end up as a final couple?

Meanwhile, Kim Myo-jin is torn right up to the end between Moon Se-hoon, a same-age match who makes her heart flutter, and Lee Seung-hak, a younger guy who makes her feel secure. After finishing talks with both of their moms, her dilemma deepens. Seo Jang-hoon and Kim Yo-han team up on the side of love, saying, “You marry the person you like. You’re not marrying the mom.” Lee Yo-won pushes back: “That’s true, but you can’t leave the mother-in-law out of marriage.”

On top of that, one pair reportedly fails to make it as a final couple due to a mom’s opposition, leaving the studio in shock. The three MCs are speechless, asking again and again, “Really?” In the end, Seo Jang-hoon sighs, “What a twist,” stoking curiosity about which couple couldn’t cross the finish line.

Will the singles clear the last hurdle―mom’s approval―and will final couples be born? ‘Match to Marry’ airs Thursday the 5th at 9 p.m.
