The leads of Netflix’s animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" ― EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI ― are headed to the BAFTA stage.

According to Variety, the singers behind HUNTR/X’s in-film members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey ― EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI ― will perform the movie’s main theme “Golden” live at the 79th British Academy Film Awards on the 22nd.

The performance is considered unusual because "KPop Demon Hunters" isn’t nominated. The film didn’t meet the U.K. theatrical release requirement, so it wasn’t eligible this year. Even so, BAFTA invited the trio for a special stage to honor the movie’s global impact and its massive popularity this year, regardless of nomination status.

Emma Baeh, BAFTA’s executive director, said, “Since its release last summer, 'KPop Demon Hunters' has captivated audiences of all ages worldwide with a remarkable influence,” adding that the real voices of the Hunters will bring K-pop energy to light up the ceremony.

Ahead of the show, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI shared, “Performing on the BAFTA stage is a ‘golden moment’ we never imagined as kids,” and, “We’re honored to share the film’s positive message with fans around the world once again.”

This will be the trio’s first live performance outside the United States. “Golden,” a leading contender for Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Awards, will ring out at the BAFTAs first, before their home awards show.

The 79th British Academy Film Awards take place on the 22nd.
