Vocalist Mo Su-jin of the band Acoustic Collabo died on Jan. 25. She was 27.

Her label Panic Button said on Jan. 28, “Mo Su-jin, the vocalist of Acoustic Collabo, has left us,” adding that her family and colleagues are in deep mourning. “In accordance with the family’s wishes, we will not disclose specific details, including the cause of death. The funeral was held privately with only family, relatives and close friends in attendance,” the company said.

The label also asked the public to join in mourning while refraining from speculation or spreading unverified rumors.

Born in 1999, Mo began her music career as a K-pop idol trainee and joined Acoustic Collabo in 2020 as the group’s third-generation vocalist. Originally launched as a one-man project by Kim Seung-jae, Acoustic Collabo has featured multiple vocalists over the years; with Mo, the act completed its third studio album, “Good to Be with You.”

Mo became embroiled in a dispute with her former agency in 2022, winning a partial victory in the first trial in 2024 and a complete win on appeal on Nov. 27, 2025. She later signed an exclusive deal with Panic Button and had been preparing to return to the stage.
