Uhm Jung-hwa is steering the sequel to the hit action-comedy "Okay! Madam", with "Okay! Madam 2" set to crash the biggest moviegoing season of the year: summer.
This time, the family that once pulled off a high-altitude rescue gets a mysterious invite aboard a lavish cruise liner―where chaos, conspiracies, and slapstick heroics collide. The film kicked off production in October 2025 and wrapped after a two-month shoot at the end of December.
Franchise favorites Uhm Jung-hwa, Park Sung-woong, Lee Sang-yoon, and Bae Jung-nam are back, joined by fresh faces Rowoon, Park Jin-joo, and Choi Soo-young to amp up the sequel’s energy and laughs.
Becoming the first woman to headline a Korean theatrical comedy franchise, Uhm anchors the film with full-throttle action and heart. “It was a physically demanding shoot, but our unbelievably professional crew helped us capture so many great moments,” she says. “I can’t wait for audiences to have a genuinely fun, laugh-out-loud time at the theater.”
Director Lee Cheol-ha adds, “I’m thrilled to keep the 'Okay! Madam' franchise going. Uhm Jung-hwa, Park Sung-woong, Lee Sang-yoon, Bae Jung-nam, Rowoon, Park Jin-joo, and Choi Soo-young were bursting with ideas and energy. We’re putting everything into delivering a wildly entertaining movie.”
First-look stills tease Uhm’s quick-change magic―from a sweet, vacation-ready mom to a commanding action hero―promising bigger stunts and broader laughs on the open sea.
"Okay! Madam 2" is in post and headed for a Summer 2026 release.
