Shin Hye-sun’s character stills from "The Art of Sarah" have been unveiled.
The Netflix series "The Art of Sarah" tracks the high-stakes cat-and-mouse between “Sara Kim” (Shin Hye-sun), a woman determined to pass as the real thing even if it’s all a facade, and “Moo-kyung” (Lee Jun-hyuk), the man tracing the trail of her desires.
The newly released images spotlight Sara Kim’s striking range. One moment she’s in a nametagged uniform, blank and hollow; the next, she’s bathed in diamonds and luxe couture―her gaze soft in one frame, ice-cold in another. Each still hints at a different life, stoking curiosity about who she really is and what she’s hiding.
In the series, Sara Kim is the powerful head of a branch of Boudoir, a luxury label catering to the top 0.1%. Despite her status, every detail about her―name, age, origins, education―remains under lock and key. Seemingly out of nowhere, she appears and upends the world around her, intensifying the mystery of her true identity and backstory.
Shin Hye-sun, acclaimed for genre-spanning turns in "Mr. Queen," "Welcome to Samdal-ri," and "Dear Hyeri," as well as the films "Innocence," "Target," and "Following," takes on Sara Kim in another transformative role. She’s set to navigate the razor’s edge between meticulously constructed lies and an unreadable truth, bringing the character to three-dimensional life.
Promising a twisty, unpredictable ride, "The Art of Sarah" unspools the enigma surrounding Sara Kim with sleek suspense and left-field reveals. The series premieres February 13 on Netflix.
