On SBS’s variety series "Whenever Possible", Yoo Yeon-seok finds himself hilariously “inducted” into the so-called slow-focusing club.

The Jan. 20 episode sees co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok head to Daejeon with NMIXX’s HAEWON and SULLYOON, bringing major good vibes along the way.

Yoo Yeon-seok gets an unexpected reality check thanks to a business card bearing the local host’s name. As he goes to read it, he pauses―“Is this font for real?”―instantly pinging Yoo Jae-suk’s radar. When HAEWON leans in to help decipher the tiny print, Yoo Jae-suk jokes, “Make the letters bigger for Yeon-seok―he’s got a slow-focusing situation,” officially declaring his entry into the club.

Yoo Jae-suk previously coined “slow focusing” on "Whenever Possible" as a cheeky stand-in for the dreaded “getting older” eyes. Determined to prove he’s not there yet, Yoo Yeon-seok carefully sounds out the card―“I can still see just fine”―which only makes the moment funnier.

The generational gap lands another punchline when a high school senior hosting the segment chirps, “I heard you’re an ’84―my dad’s an ’82!” Yoo Yeon-seok’s ears turn bright red at the “dad” comparison―still a foreign label for the unmarried star. Yoo Jae-suk piles on (“It happens―Yeon-seok’s not exactly a kid anymore”), prompting Yoo Yeon-seok to quip, “I’m earning kibble money for my dog, not formula for a baby,” sending Yoo Jae-suk into stitches.

Will Yoo Yeon-seok shake off the “aging” jokes and tap into some youthful energy with NMIXX’s HAEWON and SULLYOON? "Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. on SBS.
