Yoo Jae-suk kicked off 2026 with a bold promise: he’ll spend the next year as “the face of SBS,” he said on SBS’s variety series "Whenever Possible".

On the Tuesday, Jan. 13 episode, co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok welcome actors Kwon Sang-woo and Moon Chae-won as their “gap pals,” primed to deliver big laughs.

During the first taping of the new year, the duo revisited their big night at the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards, where they nabbed the Best Couple-Up Award, and Yoo Jae-suk also made headlines with his AI-Chosen Face of SBS honor.

“I am the face of SBS. For the next year, that’s my job,” Yoo declared with mock gravitas, drawing laughs. Yoo Yeon-seok piled on: “So this is what the face of SBS looks like,” he sighed, cracking up the studio.

Then Yoo Yeon-seok took it a step further, appointing himself chair of the “Yoo Jae-suk Bust Committee.” “At this point, we should commission a statue of Jae-suk,” he teased, with Kwon Sang-woo chiming in, “Make it official!” Yoo Jae-suk waved them off, but Yoo Yeon-seok couldn’t resist one more bit: worried about fans rubbing statues for luck, he joked, “With his gift of gab, the mouth will wear down first,” sending Yoo into stitches.

Yoo Yeon-seok also shared that the year-end circuit proved just how far "Whenever Possible" has come in its second year. “At the SBS Drama Awards, Lee Jun-hyuk, Han Ji-min, and Lee Je-hoon were all our ‘gap pals,’” he said, proud of the show’s growing footprint in K-drama circles.

With the “Two-Yoos” riding high off their year-end wins, all eyes are on how their chemistry levels up in the first episode of 2026―and how SBS’s newly minted “face” delivers on his playful promise.

"Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on SBS.
