Actor Kwon Sang-woo is set to unleash his long-dormant variety chops on SBS’s "Whenever Possible".

On the January 13 episode, the star teams up with hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok as a “gap-time friend,” with Moon Chae-won also joining for what promises to be wall-to-wall laughs.

Kwon comes in hot from the jump. When Yoo Jae-suk greets him with, “Sang-woo was always a variety natural―his seal is finally broken,” Kwon fires back with a grin, “I’m 50 now―nothing to be embarrassed about.” Once he finds his groove, he peppers the set with playful wordplay and even cracks up the show’s homeowner with a breezy, “It’s freezing out there,” turning small talk into big laughs. Boarding a city bus, he casually asks a rider, “Where are you headed?”―so smooth that even “communication king” Yoo gives him a thumbs-up: “Sang-woo’s on another level with people.”

He also slides into a new role as Yoo’s latest lovable button-pusher, picking up where Cha Tae-hyun left off. During a quick move between locations, Yoo urges, “Let’s hurry,” and Kwon deadpans, “Got another shoot this afternoon?”―sending Yoo into hysterics. “Haven’t seen anyone rattle me like this since Cha Tae-hyun,” Yoo jokes, as Kwon, a fellow ’76-liner with Cha, proudly claims the mantle of Yoo’s next delightful agitator.

With Kwon’s variety instincts fully unlocked, anticipation is high for the crackling chemistry he’ll spark with the “Two Yoo” MCs, Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok.

"Whenever Possible" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on SBS.
