IVE’s ANYUJIN isn’t here for casual stanning. On SBS’ Friday variety series “Manager Seojin,” the K-pop star lays down a strict “no entry” order on Kim Kwang-kyu after his shallow fan knowledge gets exposed.
The Jan. 9 episode follows ANYUJIN, who’s serving as a four-peat MC at the 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon, through her live-show grind. With 36 acts on deck, the year-end spectacle promises a high-stress day for the show’s on-call “secretaries.”
Despite previously declaring himself an IVE fan, Kim stumbles out of the gate―he thinks the group’s leader is JANGWONYOUNG. Lee Seo-jin doesn’t let it slide, bluntly calling him out: “We’re managing ANYUJIN today―why were you searching JANGWONYOUNG?” ANYUJIN doubles down and bans Kim from the waiting room on the spot.
Still, the vibe stays light. Smitten with ANYUJIN’s “queen mindset,” the hosts get a hands-on tutorial in her signature “queenly hand wave.” What starts as confusion quickly turns into a running bit, with the duo mimicking the move at every turn and cracking up the set.
Knowing ANYUJIN misses home-cooked food after too many delivery meals, the team plans a made-for-my-star Christmas house party. Kim opens his home to cook a custom menu for ANYUJIN―another first for the show―while Lee gets into the holiday spirit, decorating with surprising attention to detail. Mid-party, ANYUJIN opens up about the pressures of leading IVE, and Lee steps in with grounded, heartfelt advice as a seasoned senior.
