At a press screening for the film "Project Y" held Jan. 8 at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul, Han So Hee broke down why she signed on. “On the surface, my character reads as tough, but she’s fragile underneath. That duality really drew me in,” she said, adding that leading a film alongside a peer made the project even more appealing.
Her co-star Jeon Jong-seo said the buddy-movie dynamic was the hook. “Beyond what was on the page, there were so many hidden charms to explore, and I wanted to bring those out,” she shared.
"Project Y" follows two women stuck in the glittering city’s margins who seize a last-ditch chance at a new future by targeting dirty cash and gold bars. Han plays Mission, while Jeon portrays Do-kyung.
As best friends with nothing left to lose, they set an audacious plan in motion to rip off crime boss To (played by Kim Sung-cheol), cranking up the tension as their caper unfolds.
The film opens Jan. 21.
